Purpose of the research
As a part of the scientific activities of the Institute of Social Health of Palacký University Olomouc (OUSHI), Czech Republic, we are currently preparing research focused on high sensitivity and other personality characteristics related to health. We believe that a better understanding of this issue can, among other things, help improve the quality of medical care.
How will the study look?
The study involves completing a short online survey (within 30 minutes).
Who has approved the study?
This study was reviewed and approved by the ethics committee of the Institute of Social Determinants of Health (OUSHI), which is an integral part of Palacký University Olomouc.
Do I have to participate?
It is completely up to you whether you decide to participate or not. If you decide to participate, please tick YES at the end of this page and our survey will open. We will consider this step as your consent to the use of the information you provide in our analysis. If you decide to take part, you are still free to withdraw at any time without giving a reason and/or to withdraw your information up until the research findings are published.
What information will be collected?
We will collect data about:
- basic demographic information
- your experience and view on the subject of the study
Will my participation in the study be kept confidential?
Yes, all information that is collected about you during the course of this research will be kept confidential. You are not required to provide your name, and no individual will be identified at any time.
It must be recognized that, in some circumstances, confidentiality of research data and records may be overridden by courts in the event of litigation or in the course of investigation by a lawful authority. In such circumstances the University will take all reasonable steps within the law to ensure that confidentiality is maintained to the greatest possible extent.
What will happen to the information which you provide?h4>
All information you provide will be kept at OUSHI in such a way that it will not be possible to identify you. On completion of the research, the data will be stored on the UPOL server.
What will happen to the results?
The research will be written up and presented as a summary report and may be published in scientific journals. A copy of the research findings will be made available to you upon request.
What are the possible disadvantages of taking part?
We don’t foresee any negative consequences as a result of you taking part.
